Gloriously Ordinary Sundays - 1st March 2026

Once a month I chat with someone about Gloriously Ordinary Lives and how it resonates with them for the Gloriously Ordinary Sundays Podcast.

Gloriously Ordinary Education: what inclusion looks and feels like…

In episode 15, I indulge myself a little bit with some nostalgia, going back to the time when my two were at school and reflecting on what great inclusion looked and felt like to us as a family.

I'll share some lovely memories of The Girl's experience, and you'll hear Ciaran Cameron talking about his own memories - getting the bus with other kids, going to prom, Duke of Edinburgh, the school trip to France, and chasing and running around at break time.

The common factor across all our school experiences was conversations I had with each head teacher where they said, "Yeah, okay, never done this before, no idea what to do, but let's give it a whirl because it feels like the right thing to do."

It reminds me of this great quote: "Sometimes you just have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down."
